As part of our commitment to soliciting input into
the development of our forest management plans, Tolko Industries
Ltd. (High Level Lumber Division - HLLD) and Footner Forest Products
Ltd. (FFP) will be hosting a number of Open Houses throughout
the region between June 11-23.
These Open Houses will provide the opportunity for
members of the public to view our 5-Year General Development Plan
(GDP) for our Forest Management Area (FMA), our reforestation
plan for the summer of 2004, as well as our proposed harvest plans
for the 2004-2005 season.
The Companies will also display some of the long-term
forecasts and strategies that have been incorporated into our
Detailed Forest Management Plan (DFMP) and Sustainable Forest
Management (SFM) Plan to address wildlife, forest health, watershed
management, and community interests.
Alberta Sustainable Resource Development (Forest
Protection Division), will also be in attendance at the Rainbow
Lake and Zama City Open Houses to discuss future plan development
near those communities to incorporate fire protection initiatives.
