As many of you are aware, Tolko Industries Ltd.
(High Level Lumber Division) and Footner Forest Products Ltd.
(FFP) have completed a Sustainable Forest Management (SFM) Plan
for our Defined Forest Area (DFA) to meet the certification standard
as outlined by the Canadian Standards Association (CSA).
The SFM Plan, which was completed in April 2004,
incorporated input from the public in identifying local-level
forest values, objectives, indicators, and targets for managing
the DFA.
Consistent with our Environmental Policies and the
CSA requirement to communicate our environmental, social and economic
performance to stakeholders and the general public, our Companies
will be hosting a Public Advisory Group (PAG) meeting to present
our performance to date in implementing the SFM Plan.
This Public Advisory Group (PAG) meeting, the second
of two meetings to review our progress to date, will be held at
5:00 PM on Tuesday November 16th at the Tolko
Industries Ltd. office in High Level.
